AI Wardrobe Capture: Digitize Your Closet From Video

Every wardrobe app makes you photograph your clothes one item at a time. It's the single biggest reason people download one of these apps and quit within a week. Clad9's wardrobe capture is built to remove that step entirely — not to make photographing easier, but to make it unnecessary.

One Video Instead of a Hundred Photos

Record a slow walkthrough of your closet — that's the entire capture step. Clad9's vision model watches the footage, identifies each individual garment, removes the background, and files it into a clean digital closet, automatically tagged by category, color, pattern, fabric, and fit.

Already own something and don't want to re-shoot it? The same pipeline handles a single photo, an online order confirmation or receipt screenshot, or an outfit photo it "dissects" into individual catalogued items. Whichever way a piece enters, it lands correctly tagged and ready to style — no manual data entry.

Why This Is the Feature Everything Else Depends On

Color coordination, body-aware styling, and daily outfit recommendations are only as good as the wardrobe data behind them. A half-digitized closet with a dozen items produces generic suggestions; a fully digitized one produces outfits actually built from what's hanging in your home.

That's why this ships before the recommendation engine, not after it — every other feature on this site assumes an accurately catalogued wardrobe exists first.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to photograph every item individually?

No — that's the specific problem this feature is built to avoid. One video walkthrough of your closet is the intended capture method; individual photos, receipts, and outfit photos are supported as alternatives, not requirements.

Is wardrobe capture available yet?

Not yet. It's in active development and hasn't shipped. This page describes the feature as designed, not as currently available — see Clad9's roadmap on the homepage for what's live today.
