Should a blazer be tight or loose?

A blazer should be fitted through the shoulders and chest, not tight or loose. The shoulder seams must sit exactly at your shoulder edge, and you should be able to button the top button without fabric pulling across the chest. Too loose looks sloppy, while too tight restricts your movement and causes visible pulling at the buttons.
